With stagnation comes boredom and a feeling of "being in the same rut". Moving backwards and repeating the same mistakes creates phobias and low self esteem.


This site will give information and resources to make changes that will last and help a person grow to their full potential. Lasting changes happen when old behaviors, that are not working, are replaced with new behaviors, that are healthier and have a more successful result.


Most people make brief attempts at changing behaviors and/or attitudes by buying new clothes, getting a new haircut or going on a shopping spree. These things may feel great for the moment, but ultimately, they will leave someone low as fast as they picked them up.


So, go ahead and explore. You will find some really easy things that you can do to start living a happier life. Being positive feels good and makes others around you feel good. The better you feel, the more positive people are attracted to you.

THE MIND

The mind is the first and foremost important tool to make any lasting changes to your life.


The first step is always to make the choice. To choose to change something about you or your life that is not working for you. Change doesn't always have to involve sacrifice and struggle. There are easier ways to "change your mind".


The mind works on repetition and your life is just repeated behaviors that you’ve chosen to keep up until now. You can either choose to change using the "cold turkey" method or you can use the "substitution" method and replace what you don't like with a new behavior.


Obviously, the replacement method is easier and sometimes you will not even have to work at things too much. It is the method chosen by most.


To get started, pick a category of an area of your life that you would like to change or improve on. There will be links to an information page and then activities you can do to change or improve that area of your life.


It really is a fantastic and exciting journey to start creating your life the way that you want; to be the director instead of the actor just taking direction.

THE BODY

The body is the vehicle that our mind and spirit travel in while we are on this earth.


As with all vehicles, the body needs to be well maintained in order for us to live a long life. The better we maintain our body, the better our quality of life – usually. Most of us really don’t consider the words above. We don’t stop and think before we put food or drinks into our body.


We don’t understand our bodies enough to know what amount of sleep is needed for us as an individual. I say this because we all vary in amounts of sleep needed and time of day/night we need to sleep. We need to realize that the body has to have three basic things: food, water and sleep. Those are the basic necessities.


If you are going to start taking care of your body, you should, at a minimum, follow the recommended or average needs for food, water and sleep. This may sound simplistic, but you really need to be honest in each area. Many people will "cheat" one area and this will directly affect the body as a whole.


Try to eat a more balanced diet with less processed foods, get 8-8oz glasses of water, and have 7-8 hours of sleep a night. (Bedtime should be around the same time each night). Do this for 30 days and see what a change it can make. After this, you can move on to some of the other topics that will help you maintain your body for optimum health.

THE SPIRIT

The spirit is what guides and directs us through life.


The spirit is the most complex and abstract idea. It can mean anything from a belief in God,a cosmic consciousness or a higher power. Some believe it is a power that is within us.


Whatever your belief, the spirit directs us to what we want or dwell on. It is linked with the law of attraction that has been talked about so much lately.


Whether you fully understand what the “spirit” is or is not, it is important that you align your thoughts with what your core values are. Happiness seems to come from fulfilling and moving closer to those things that you value most.


The above statement seems very simplistic, but in this day and age there are many distractions from the things we should focus on. People are consumed with money issues, job, obtaining possessions.


These distractions keep us from getting to know ourselves, and what truly makes us happy. The noise that we input almost constantly keeps us from talking to ourselves and getting closer to spirit.
